The Mennonite Congregation of Boston welcomes everyone, without exception.
We meet every Sunday evening from 6 to 7:30 PM (except for
the last Sunday of the month) September through June.
Our services are planned and
carried out by lay leadership.Meetings typically follow one of the following formats:
1.Worship service, which includes a meditation, followed by
time for discussion.
2.Short worship service followed by a speaker or panel on a
topic of interest with time for discussion.
Following the service we have
a time for refreshments and conversation. Please join
us for that time to talk
informally and become better acquainted.

“And this is my prayer, that your love may grow ever
richer and richer in the knowledge and insight of every kind, and may thus
bring you the gift of true discernment.”(Philippians 1:9)
The Mennonite Congregation of
Boston (MCOB) was organized in 1962, following three years of “unofficial”
meetings.Begun as a house church,
the Congregation initially met in members’ homes and relied on lay leadership
as it does today. Many of our
members grew up in churches outside of the Boston area and moved here for study
or work.
Since 1966 the Congregation has been dually affiliated with the Eastern
District of the former General Conference Mennonite Church and what is now the
Atlantic Coast Conference of the former Mennonite Church. We are still dually
affiliated under the new Mennonite Church USA. While many current participants
come from a Mennonite or Brethren background, others were raised in different
traditions.We welcome all who
join with us in worship and fellowship.
